Considering I just spent 3.5 hours turning a double box into a triple box to control a new fan/light combo in my bathroom. Nothing is wired per any standards and they used #12 on everything which has torn the shit out of my fingers.

Here is the almost finished product. The one supply wire is feeding three lights and 5 outlets!

The other box for the fucked up three way switch, no red does not go there!

Pupper for your enjoyment, in his standard summer sleeping spot.

Huskies, never let this one off his rope or leash.

We’ve both been having fun with wiring!

I found two buried junction boxes, along with a taped off BX lead in this knee wall in my kitchen . All hot.

And this in the basement, on the same circuit.

The more electrical tape used the worse the installation.

Replaced a few switches/outlets, building guy put in a couple sconces for us and thought he saw pigtails and aluminum wiring in our 106 year old apartment. Previous owner who did demo says no, all copper. Whew.

Her Majesty would like a word…

Almost everything electric works on my 1980s Jaguar!

Also 12AWG isn’t so bad if you have the right tools?

Back left window, reverse lights and some of the door switches are only broken items. AC with the fancy auto-climate works. All the ugly wiring in the engine bay including fuel injection and all lights works.

I’m pretty handy with 12v systems from work so I’m not afraid. Heck, I had to fix a dead window in my dad’s 90’s Camry once.

Yep. When  I pulled the taped off buried BX whip out, I unwound the tape just to see how much they used. It was about 5' worth.

My buddy had a late 80's Quatro, it was not unusual for 2-3 elec trical systems to randomly fail then start to work again on any drive.

Ha, see it’s not just English cars. I bought mine last fall and maybe I’m lucky but it seems reasonably well sorted. The TR6 (not mine but lives at my house) has no electric problems to speak of at all .
